focus on:
a) Cost management
Look into costing of primary processes. Don't go into costpricing and related models. Could make connection to 'how do we know what to ask for products/services rendered?' (salespricing).
Think of Management Accounting on higher level, de basics of cost, cost drivers and cost behaviour. Also look into govindjaran and costing.
b) Ebusiness
Scan ebusiness literature on cost, cost drivers and behaviour specifically linked to ebusiness. Also don't dig to deep into specifics.
Keep it compact and to the point. Scan broad on focal points and work towards a few strong supporting theories/sources.
2) Research document
Start writing your research document as a guideline. Make it a roadmap you can travel back and forth on.
- Start using the tip of pushing non-essential information to the border of the document!
- Put keywords in chapters (start categorizing)
- Write shortly about expected conclusions or what could be in that part of the document
3) Start scanning for e-business cases/examples and related interviewees
Focus on 'presentation' part of the primary process, might use suggested matrix to show research focus and maybe display what current (traditional) and (possible) new e-business solutions will be specific cases.
First ebusiness examples: ideas: studieroom, na4all, content delivery process, enterprise service bus, verdieping van NL, scanning on demand, selling content though internet.
